Posted: October 1, 2011 | Author: admin | Filed under: Uncategorized | 9 Comments »The inspiration of the color nude has got me thinking about REAL nudity… I couldn’t help but notice how many ads show off “boobs”, whether it be marketing their ad campaign for jeans, lingerie, and/or shoes. Geez, talk about side boobage.

I cant lie, it definitely caught my eye at first glance. Sex really does sell…

Saved by the Shoes…
Posted: September 2, 2011 | Author: admin | Filed under: Uncategorized | 20 Comments »My favorite show of all time growing up, was none other than…’Saved by the Bell’
And after surfing the net today, I realized how much of the clothing and shoes these days have been recycled from the early 90′s. A lot of bold, bright and FLORAL has been incorporated in today’s fashion…
Kelly Kapowski inspired:
Nasty Gal- Renee Sweetheart floral dress $68
F21 frayed floral shorts $19.90.
UO bandeau top- 2 for $20. You can find here
F21- Floral Oxford- $24.80
Bayside High grey sweatshirt- $29.95. You can find here
Soul Boutique- You can find here
And of course, we can’t forget about heart-throb ‘Zack Morris’, who’s known for his Rico Suave charm and good looks. He was also a fashion icon, as well. I really believe that he was the one who brought back the vintage levi’s denim look, casio watches, and white hi-tops. Gawd, he’s gorgeous…
Zack Morris inspired:
Asos Roll Up sleeve striped Chambray Shirt - $54.89

Fila Men’s Savoy Shoe- $29.99. You can find here
Levi’s Barstow Western Shirt- $68

Posted: August 31, 2011 | Author: admin | Filed under: Uncategorized | 3 Comments »Here are a few purchases I made during my NY trip, which is why I am so broke now…. *sigh
I spent most of my time and money at Topshop in their accessory section, along with the street vendors in Soho
As you can see, I stuck with Topshop’s new “Freedom” jewelry collection. They’re great and so affordable.
This orange spikey bracelet is one of my favorite purchases, because the leather is so buttery soft and the lady selling it was so nice enough to make it specifically for me, since none of the ones on display fit my small wrist.
The light purple knot bracelet is also special because its made out of silk.
Bought a few lip balms from Topshop for some friends back home as a souvenir. It beats “I love NY” t-shirts
Unfortunately, I was unable to buy any shoes in New York, since I had limited space in my luggage, BUT I got a chance to buy a couple of platforms when I got back home. These are probably my last shoe purchases for the year….(maybe)
Steve Madden “Dynemite” platform (coral suede)- $109.95
You can find here
You can’t really tell from the lighting, but I fell in love with the color of these shoes. It’s almost like a pastel coral/pink color. The suede fabrication isn’t as soft as I hoped it would be, but you get what you pay for from Steve Madden, I guess. I haven’t worn these out yet, so I’m not sure the comfort level of it. I’m anticipating a lot of blisters and the occasional “limping”.
Jessica Simpson- “Pai” Platform Sandal- $98.00
You can find here
I’ve worn these out twice so far and I have officially made these my “going out/vegas/drunken debauchery” shoes, because these have been through war, and yet it still keeps its elegant look. I’ve worn these out two nights in a row, and I didn’t feel any throbbing or blistering on my feet the next day. The chunky heel might be the answer to this. These have got to be by far one of the most comfortable shoes I own. I give myself a lot of credit for this one. A great buy if you ask me.
My letter to Stephanie <3
Posted: August 11, 2011 | Author: admin | Filed under: Uncategorized | 1 Comment »A sad, yet cheerful month…
My bff, Stephanie has left me and this city to start a new chapter of her life. At first, I was a little distraught, but realized that its only Frisco… its only about a 2 hr plane ride- tops.
You see, Stef and I go way back. We met in jr high. 6th grade to be exact. I remember distinctly how I met her. It was our first period in Mr. Margolin’s pre-algebra class, where we sat adjacent from each other. I took the initiative to ask her something that was totally out of the ordinary…or at least so I thought…
Question:” Are you korean? FULL Korean?” She just nodded and smiled. I didnt really believe her, so I made her say something in the Korean language. I think the first thing she said was “I’m Korean”, in korean. Haha. We both laughed histerically while Mr. Margolin gave us the stink-eye for socializing during his ‘subtracting whole numbers’ lecture.
I will never forget that day.
We’ve been close ever since, although during highschool we had a slight fall out, BUT we always managed to rekindle our relationship in college. We kept in touch even though we attended different schools and no matter how long time had passed, no matter how far away we were apart from each other, we always made sure to take the time to stay connected.
My letter to Stephanie:
I regret not taking advantage of the time you were here in La. I wish I can take a time machine back at least a month prior to do our one-on-one girl adventures together.
I know SF isn’t too far from La, and that you’re only a plane ride away, but I’m just sad KNOWING that I can’t see you whenever I please anymore. I guess this was inevitable, considering we are getting older now and starting a new life with our significant others.
I’m sad, yet truly happy for this new step you have chosen with Kahn. I really hope it works out in the new city (even though I’m secretly hoping & praying that someday you will move back haha jk)
You’ve always been such a great friend and almost like a sister to me. I thank you for your patience, your humor, your loyalty, your caring & sweet gestures, your wise & mature advices, your endless encouraging words, and most importantly, your unconditional love.
I will never forget all the good times we’ve had and look forward to making more extraordinary memories with you in the future. Xoxo-
Above pic: My beautiful bff showing off her cute outfit. She doesn’t even have to try and she still looks good!
Madden Girl wedges Stef scored at Marshalls a few months back. Cute, right?
I love you, Stephanie Ji Yun Chung.
::MOCA:: art in the streets
Posted: August 10, 2011 | Author: admin | Filed under: Uncategorized | Leave a comment »I took advantage this past weekend to check out MOCA’s “Art In the Street” exhibit, since it was the last weekend they were showcasing it.
I made sure to take as many pictures as I could of all the great graffiti arts from a variety of talented street artists. I also made sure to take some shots of my black leather litas as well
Enjoy!
The entrance into this amazing 1-2 hr exhibition…
I got in for $5-without a student ID, after persuading the guy at the front that I was still attending college. Never thought I would say this, but Thank you Asian genes for making me look like a youthful 18 yr old fresh out of highschool. I always knew you would come in handy some day.
Below 5 photos are from Banksy, which were one of my favorite artists from the exhibit…and I don’t care how many of you argue about how he never crafts his own artwork anymore. Even if he has his minions go around displaying his stuff, I still think it’s cool.
I can relate to this photo above…seriously, the story of my life. Except, its Mondays for me everyday.
Don’t be fooled. They weren’t real people, just mannequins dressed as one.
Yes, the back of the wall really spells out ‘Corn Bread’
At first glance, I thought it was Madonna… apparently, it was a sketch of another lady that looks just like her. Perhaps her doppleganger.
Ok, call me a little creepy by taking this picture of a random girl’s back, but look at her tattoo. I thought it was SO original. I wonder if its supposed to mean something? Or if it was one of those drunken nights…
